Why is CivicNZ free?
We believe charity transparency benefits everyone – donors, researchers, and charities themselves. We want to maintain free access to this important data. However, if we can deliver additional value that carries cost, or there's demand for higher usage, we may introduce paid tiers in the future.
What are the usage limits?
Guests can browse and search freely. Free account holders can view up to 10 detailed charity profiles per month. This helps us manage hosting costs while keeping the service free.
Where does the data come from?
All data comes from the official NZ Charities Register. We process and analyse this public data to generate insights and scores.
